Anna Gili, Italian

Designer born at Orvieto. Graduated at the I.S.I.A. of Florence in 1984. She presented the "Sonorous garment" design at the P.A.C. (Padiglione D'Arte Contemporanea Contemporary Art Pavilion) in Milan, in the Seibu department stores in Tokyo and the Dusseldorf Kunstmuseum.

At the Milan Triennale takes part in the exhibition "Elective Affinities" (1985). Present in a number of design exhibits in Italy and abroad, in particular : Kaess Weiss gallery in Stuttgart, Alchimya museum in Milan, Taejon Expo in Corea, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Louisiana Revy museum in Denmark, Uversee-Museum in Bremen.
In 1997 has a one-man show at the Artists' Space gallery in New York.
In April 1999, presents the "Noah's Ark" exhibition in the courtyard of the Atelier Mendini.

In June 1999 her works are displayed in the original exhibition organized by the Stockholm Moderna Museet called "Anna Gili designer visits Hinrich Sachs".
In April 2000 participates in the exhibition "Essere Ben Essere" (Being Well-Being) at the Milan Triennale, organized by the magazine Interni with an installation on the theme of well-being.

In 1989 opens a professional studio in Milan.
Studio Gili works for leading companies in the sector of furniture and household furnishings.

The following firms are among its clients: Alessi, Salviati, Bisazza Mosaici, Dornbracht, Swatch, Ritzenhoff, Arzberg, Slamp, Cassina, Cappellini, Nicolis Cola Gioielli, TDK Japan.
Studio Gili also handles consultation and art direction for companies, offices, cultural agencies and associations in the field of design.
From 1996 to 1998 is art director and designer for the company Pietro Rosa TBM for the production of scissors.

Curated exhibitions such as the "Nuovo Bel Design" that presented 300 objects by 100 young designers in April 1992 at the Milan Fair and the catalogue under the same title.
Curated the seminar and exhibit "Primordi (Creativity-profession-commitment)" at the Milan Triennale in October 1994. Curated the event "Mutamenti - design e scultura" (Changes - Design and sculpture) in the Spazio Vigentino and "Microdesign" at the Istituto Europeo di Design (European Design Institute) in Milan in 1995.
From 1990 to 1996, held a course on design at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (New Academy of Fine Arts) of Milan.
