About The Artist: Al Blaustein

Al Blaustein (1924–2004) was born in New York City into a family of immigrants from Eastern Europe. After graduating from the High School of Music and Art, he enrolled at the Cooper Union School of Art. However, World War II interrupted his studies; following three years in the U.S. Air Force, he returned to New York to complete his formal education at Cooper Union in 1947. About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils.
