About the artist:

Arnold Hoffmann, Sr. was an artist born in Odessa, Russia in 1886. He studied at Ostromensky in Russia and also in Munich. Along with being a portrait painter, he worked as a teacher, lecturer, and lithographer. He has worked in museums in Odessa, Warsaw, and Moscow; and taught at the Univsity of Palestine.
