about Ngorongoro Lion

Licking his paw, the maned lion in this Caroline Schultz print demonstrates the less aggressive side of big cats and offers a look into the natural nature of the cat itself.

Showing the large and often dangerous predator in a more vulnerable state similar to the behavior of regular house cats, the artist creates a cute image of a wild beast that is reminiscent of beloved pets.

About The Artist: Caroline Schultz

Schultz has served for three years on the board of directors of the La Jolla Art Association, which was founded in 1919 by Ellen Scripps. She has been Art Director of the East African Wild Life Society, Southern chapter, and is now United States Art Director of the East African Wild Life Society. Her work is on a volunteer basis and she devotes many hours to further conservation. Her fascination with Africa began in her early childhood. She...
