About the artist:

Clement Micarelli’s subtle tones and play of light and dark deliver a mood and depth to his subject matter that insists the viewer stop to take a longer look. The Pratt Institute graduate is a multifaceted artist, story illustrator, fashion illustrator and jewelry designer. For his paintings, Micarelli works mainly in oils and pastels with his favorite subject matter being people in their everyday lives. He also likes to paint places and portraits. “I like to convey people’s moods and how they reveal their character,” says Micarelli. “I hope the viewer can find a way to relate to the character of the people in my work.”
