about Tribute to the Hunt

Walking among the small shrubs and plants dotting the plains, two Native American men on horseback pile a series of white antlers harvested from either deer or elk found during a hunt in this Dan Bodelson print.

Piling them several feet high, the mound of antlers serve as a tribute to the successful hunt that the men have partaken in.

About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
