David Lax

About the artist:

Born in Peekskill, New York, David Lax was a painter and educator who worked in oil, acrylic, pastel and ink and chaired the Art Department of Duchess Community College. He was an illustrator for the U.S. Army Corps. He studied at Fieldston School in New York City and was a painting scholar from 1924 to 1928 at the Ethical Culture School.
