David Nguyen
David Nguyen emigrated from Vietnam to the United States in 1989 at the age of 12. As a young boy Nguyen loved to draw sprawled out on the living room floor. In High School, Nguyen took art classes every year. In 1995 he received an award for best student in painting and appeared on the local news for winning a silver medal in a window decorating contests. At age 18, Nguyen began sharing an apartment with other Vietnamese in his local community....

About The Medium:
Lithograph
A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
