David Schwab
David Schwab was born in New York City in 1921 and spent his childhood in the small town of Bishopville, South Caroline, a place which appears in several of his paintings. His family returned to New York in the 1930’s where he attended the High School of Music and Art. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
