About the artist:

June Dovey aka Doon, a signature she has used since she was 15, has been painting and drawing for around 60 years. After matric she did a Diploma in Fine art at Durban DUT. For the last 40 years she has been teaching kids and adults in her studio which is attached to her home. She has also taken a post to teach art at Northwood Boys High School for 5 years. Drawing is her favourite medium, both pencil, pen and ink. She also does watercolour’s and oils depending on her mood. The studio is her happy place!
