In this comical print by Duane Bryers, the artist renders an early 19th century truck being forced out of the mud with the help of three men while a herd of cattle behind a fence watch closely.
Knee-deep in the mud holding back the vehicle, the two men pushing the truck symbolize the hard work and camaraderie that grows from living and working together in the Amercan West. With some cows still making their way over to the commotion, the herd is humorous for their curiosity and interest with the debacle unfolding before them.
