About the artist:
Ernest Aebi, Swiss Both an incredible writer and artist, Ernst Aebi is a modern-day swashbuckler and Renaissance man. A member of the Explorers Club, he has degrees in electronics and political science and was a professional artist for many years. He has four grown children and lives in Manhattan when he is not globetrotting. As for the rest; I was born and schooled in Switzerland, showed my paintings in museums, had 25 one-man shows, loads of group shows, illustrated for the New York Times, Time Magazine, Harvard Business Review, Harper's etc. To make serious money I converted about sixty factory lofts in New York's SoHo and Tribeca to residential gems, sold some for big bucks and kept a few that now rent for more a year than they originally cost to purchase. That allowed me, as soon as my children were grown, to become the "swashbuckling" globetrotter of my youthful dreams, which, after buying six slaves in the Sahara and other similar tribulations that other people might like to know about, led me to writing. After a couple of articles and a first book, I sold a film option for SEASONS OF SAND, ended up writing the screenplay under the producer's patient guidance. That got me a First Price for Best Original Screenplay at the International Rhode Island Film Festival, a Honorable Mention from Filmmakers.com and a Semi-Finalist placement in the Chesterfield Writer's Film Project (Paramount). These new activities got me invitations to make presentations at corporate and club functions as well as giving members' and public lectures at the Explorers Club in New York City. All that, unfortunately, leaves me less and less time to swashbuckle.
