about Big Red Barn (56)

Eve Nethercott's hazy depiction of a red barn alongside a silo and several farm buildings is highly reminiscent of the quaint New England farms scattered throughout the woodlands and hills of the region.

From the dirt road lined by wooden posts to the orange-tinted hills in the distance, the scene easily fits in somewhere amid rural Maine.

Eve Nethercott is an American watercolor artist born in 1925. Nethercott painted with fluid lines and a impressonist style. Nethercott likely spent her life travelling the east coast and living in Maine. A fascination for watercolors, and teaching the others how to paint out of her home. She favors scenes of Maine, New York City, Portraits and Seascapes. Eve Nethercott passed away in 2015....
