Fernando De Szyszlo Valdelomar (born July 5, 1925, in Lima) was a Peruvian artist who was a key figure in advancing abstract art in Latin America since the mid-1950s, and one of the leading plastic artists in Peru. He first studied painting at the School of Plastic Arts of the Catholic University of Lima. Then, in 1948 he went to Paris where he held his first exhibition the following year.
