About the artist:
Born in Santiago, she got her art studies between the U.S. and Chile. She lived in New York until 1992, returning to Chile. With over 30 years of experience, she bases her work on the experimentation of plastics resources, becoming a crafter of painting, as she has called herself. She has developed an abstract language where pale tones and polished surfaces with light effects, challenge the expression of color. She uses mixed media in which the oil, plaster and pigments are poured over various – made by her own hand- supports, as a way of extend the expressiveness of the texture of her works.
