Gilbert Boyd
Gilbert Newell Boyd was born in Belfast, Ireland on May 20, 1896. Boyd studied art in Ireland and England before immigrating to the U.S. and moving to California. A mechanical engineer by profession, upon retirement he taught classes at the Palo Alto Art Club for many years while maintaining a home on the Monterey Peninsula.
