About the artist:

Benito Zamora is a leading artist Jalisco born in the year 1951. His specialty is painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking. He is a founding member of the Plaza Art Gallery in the Municipal Torres Bodet in 1977. His work is in major collections in Mexico and abroad, as well as the Museum of Arts of the U. G. and Casa de la Cultura de Aguascalientes. He has participated in numerous group shows in the country and abroad (Italy, Japan, Austria, USA, etc.).. He has twice received the Premio Nacional de Arte Joven de Aguascalientes; honorable mention, Hall October, Guadalajara (1980) and was selected by the art critic Raquel Tibol to participate in the traveling exhibition of Jalisco Plastic 1980. Honorable Mention in graphic Prize Cuitzmala, ICC (1988); 1st prize of graphics, fair Tonalá, Jal. (1990); honorable mention in drawing and sculpture, Hall October (1992). Recognition of the Chamber of Commerce (1995).
