Janet Cowan Bosse
Born in Detroit in 1930 to Grace Avery and Glen P. Cowan. She grew up in Cleveland. After dancing professionally, she matriculated to Sarah Lawrence College, where she began a lifelong devotion to fine arts. Between 1965 and 2000, her art work was displayed at more than 70 exhibitions in the United States. She was a founding member and past president of Noho Gallery in NYC....

About The Medium:
Lithograph
A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
