anice (Cecilia) Lefton (de Luigi) was a Chicago born, American modernist painter who's works show the influence of Cubism, Synchromism and Psychedelic works of the 1960s and 70s. Lefton studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and began exhibiting there. She married the successful Italian surrealist painter/sculptor Ludovico De Luigi (1933- ). After working together in Venice and exhibiting throughout Europe for a number of years, the couple set up residence in the US in the late 1960s - while still exhibiting in Italy.
