About The Artist: John Ross

John Ross, painter, printmaker, author, and educator, was born in New York City on September 25, 1921. Ross studied at Cooper Union School of Art in New York from 1939 to 1948 with Morris Kantor and Will Barnet, and received his Bachelor in Fine Arts degree. He attended Parson School of Design in New York in 1939, and, in 1949 Ross studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fontainebleau, France. He returned to New York in 1950, where he furthered his...
