About the artist:

He was born in Panama & at the age of 18 joined the U.S. Marines to fight in the World War II. It wasn't until the end of the war, he then became an American citizen. He first studied art at The Art Student's League in NY. In 1951 he went to Paris to study at the Ecole Des Beaux- Arts & the Academy de la Grande Chaumiere. Furthering his studies in Spain at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Barcelona. He worked as a muralist, painting murals in the US, Holland, France & Spain. During his art career he created book illustrations & also worked as a commercial artist. Paris is where he lived until his death in 1956.
