About The Artist: Lee Lorenz

Lee Lorenz was the art editor of The New Yorker from 1973 to 1993 and the magazine’s cartoon editor from 1993 to 1997. Lorenz is a prolific contributor to the magazine; he has done many covers and more than eighteen hundred cartoons. Lorenz joined the staff in 1958, the same year his first cartoon appeared in the pages of The New Yorker.
