About The Artist: Leo Bates

Leo Bates was born in Pittsburgh Pa., 1944. He studed at the Carnegie Mellon Universty. Pittsburgh. 1962 - 1966 and graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting. He was a special student at Yale Universty Summer SchooL, Norfolk, Conn. 1965 in 1968 he moved to New York City where The now paints.
