Madeleine Scellier was born in 1918 in Saint-Denis in the northern suburbs of Paris. She was in the School of Beaux-Arts in the George Espagnat's studio. She is an accomplished artist, a painter, a watercolorist, a printmaker, and an illustrator, she also did medals and painted ceramic jewelry. She appears in the Benezit, Grund Editions, 1954, Volume 7, Page 551 Her works are in numerous exhibitions, museums and galleries, including the Painters and Sculptors Women Salon, the Terre Latines Salon, the Drawings and Watercolor Salon, the French Artists Salon. The Museum of Saint Denis (watercolors), Ministry of Education (General Directorate of Arts and Letters).
