Spanish (1933–2006)
Surrealist Spanish artist Miguel Berrocal is best known for his puzzle sculptures, charming assemblages of detailed metalwork that lock together in precise configurations to create a solid-looking sculpture.
These pieces are meant to be touched and toyed with, to be disassembled and rejoined. The art, beautiful on its own, develops a stronger relationship with its owner when taken apart and put together again. The deeper understanding of the interior of the piece makes it incredibly personal. This work is made of 18 nickel-plated elements and comes from an edition of 9500.
