about Pay Dirt

Resting in the water with his pants rolled up to his knees, the man sitting on a rock pans the dirt near him for pieces of gold with his tray and sifter.

Across the small stream, his horse and packmule watch him with curiosity. In the distance, the stream where the party rests leads to a pond formed by the flow of several small waterfalls.

About The Artist: Noel Daggett

Noel Daggett's belief that there is a "universal motivation to life" is not only reflected by his personal action but through his brilliantly vibrant canvases. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, the family later moved to San Francisco where Daggett began his painting career. Motivation, talent, energy led him to a scholarship at the California School of Fine Arts. A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
