Born in Edo, Oide Toko was a Nanga painter and pupil of Todo Ryoun (1809-1886). He received a silver medal at the Naikoku Kaiga Kyoshinkai in 1896 and exhibited his works at the Naikoku Kangyo Hakurankai and the Nihon Bijutsu Kyokai. Some of his works are in the Imperial Household collection.
