Winking Woman Portrait

about Winking Woman Portrait

Winking Woman Portrait by Ramon Santiago is a vibrant 1969 oil on canvas that exemplifies the artist’s early psychedelic art style and mastery of figurative painting.

This 20 x 36 inch work captures the playful, liberated spirit of the late 1960s counterculture through its bold colors, expressive brushwork, and enigmatic subject matter. Santiago’s psychedelic aesthetic transforms a simple portrait into a kaleidoscopic exploration of personality, perception, and the era’s celebration of individual expression. As an early work in Santiago’s oeuvre, this painting demonstrates the foundations of the surrealist and fantasy art style that would define his later career, making it an important piece for understanding the artist’s creative development.
