About the artist:

Robert Squeri was a professor of fine arts in the (then-named) State University College at Buffalo. His educational background includes Brooklyn College,Columbia University, the NewSchoolfor Social Research, University of Guanajuato San Miguel de Allende, Accademia di Belle Arti e Liceo Artistoci (Rome), and the Pratt Center for Contemporary Printmaking. He has won many awards, including a Fulbright grant to Korea in 1979, which influenced the papers he used and the calligraphic imagery in many of his later works. The State Department sponsored a one-person exhibition and lecture tour for Squeri in South America. His prints have been exhibited and collected internationally. Robert Squeri passed away in January of 2018.
