About the artist:

Rod Judkins was born in Nottingham in 1956. Since leaving the Royal College of Art in 1983 he has had numerous solo exhibitions and been included in many group exhibitions in galleries and museums in London and internationally. His ambiguous images are metaphorical explorations of modern life, principally from the view of the city dweller. He portrays contemporary men and women in allegorical situations that evoke the absurd nature of urban life. The paintings content determine their visual forms, techniques and subject matter. Rod Judkin's work features in public collections including the Contemporary Arts Society, Worcester Museum and Art Gallery, Arts Council of Great Britian, Royal College of Art, South East Arts, and City of Wesminster Arts Council.
