About The Artist: Roy Ahlgren

Roy Ahlgren was born in 1927 in Erie, PA. He is a self-taught painter. In 1964 he began to work in op art and hard edge technique. He received more than 60 prizes, among them purchase awards from the Seattle Art Museum, Minot State College, Texas Tech University Museum, and the Mississippi Art Association.
