about Mad Tea Party

In 1969 Salvador Dalí (Spanish, 1904-1989) was asked to create works around the literary classic "Alice in Wonderland".

This scene is the tea party, a melting clock present around a bright spring tree.  A facsimile signed reproduction from a limited edition of 500.  Nicely framed.  

About The Artist: Salvador Dali

Salvador Dalí was born in May 11, 1904 in the small agricultural town of Figueres, Spain. Figueres is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, only sixteen miles from the French border in the principality of Catalonia. The son of a prosperous notary, Salvador Dalí spent his boyhood in Figueres and at the family's summer home in the coastal fishing village of Cadaques where his parents built his first studio. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils.
