About the artist:

Seth Michael Forman received a BA, Magna Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Potsdam in 1984, and received an MFA and a President's Merit Scholarship from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1989. He is the recipient of two Painting Fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts. His work has been exhibited in over fifty exhibitions, including solo shows at Frosch&Portmann in New York, Adam Baumgold Gallery in New York, Bernard Toale Gallery in Boston, Dean Jensen Gallery in Milwaukee, Miller Block Gallery in Boston, and Cavin-Morris Gallery in New York. Selected group exhibitions include the New Museum of Contemporary Art, Lehmann Maupin, Saatchi and Saatchi, Eybeam, The Visual Arts Museum, DC Moore Gallery, Frederick Petzel Gallery, Bucheon Gallery, and Bill Maynes Gallery. Images and reviews of his work have appeared in numerous publications including the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the New Yorker, the New York Sun, the Boston Herald, Harper's Magazine, the New Art Examiner, the Art Journal, The Oxford American, as well as in a documentary-interview on NJT Public Television. Seth Michael Forman lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, and Kent, Connecticut, and currently teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and the Westchester Center for the Arts in White Plains, New York. His work is represented by Frosch&Portmann Gallery, New York, New York.
