Seymour Rosenthal was born in the Bronx in 1921. He started drawing with crayons and pencils at the tender age of five and hasn't stopped at the age of 81. Rosenthal grew up during the Depression of the thirties and the rise of Fascism, He became aware of the injustices economically, politically and socially in his society and documented them by painting scenes of his childhood and growing up in the early 1900's.
