About the artist:
Sheldon Fink was born in Brooklyn in 1925. He won his first prize in art at the age of five --- the Wannamaker First Prize Gold Medal. He has continued to gain major recognition in his adult life winning Tiffany Foundation grants in 1957 for painting, and in 1963 for Etching. He has had one-man shows at the Albany Art Insttute, the Berkshire Art Museum, the Lenox Library, and in New York City. Mr. Fink's work is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and many artists' collection. - "Associated American Artists".
