About The Artist: Shmuel Kudish (aka Dukshi)

Born in Lviv, (present-day Ukraine) in 1926, Shmuel (Samuel) Kudish’s art training began in the early 1950s at the Art Academy of Moscow and The Art Academy of St. Petersburg, where he specialized in the techniques of fresco and mural painting. He continued his formal training at the Art Academy of Lviv, studying classical 19th century technique.
