I grew up in the Berkshires in a family of painters. My brother and sisters all paint. My mother, Helen Suzette Alsop, still paints in her 80’s, and my grandmother (also a painter) took us to museums in New York practically as soon as we could walk. I received a B.A. in European History at Wheaton College in Norton, MA, and then went back to get an MFA in printmaking and painting at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I taught at...
