Thomas Browne Cornell (March 1, 1937- December 7, 2012) was an American artist. Cornell was known for empirical drawings and paintings. His work involved moral content concerning global, social, and environmental justice. He was the Richard E. Steele Artist-in-Residence at Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, Maine until June 2012 when he formally retired. Thomas Cornell was born March 1, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio. About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
