about Zuska

Experience Victor Vasarely’s sophisticated 1998 screenprint "Zuska," a masterful example of Optical Art that demonstrates the artist’s continued innovation and mastery of geometric patterns even in his later years.

This signed and numbered work transforms abstract geometric forms into a mesmerizing celebration of visual perception and mathematical precision, rendered with Vasarely’s characteristic Op Art techniques that create depth and movement within the composition. The piece represents the culmination of the artist’s lifelong exploration of optical illusions while showcasing his enduring commitment to pushing the boundaries of visual perception through systematic geometric relationships. This screenprint numbered 92/300 represents a significant example of late 20th-century Optical Art and Vasarely’s lasting influence on contemporary geometric abstraction.

About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
