"Golden Gate" is a lithograph by 19th Century Austrian artist Vinzenz Katzler.

Depicting a ceremonious event with a queue of horse-drawn carriages making their way to the palace of the third German national.  Signed in the plate in the bottom left corner.

About The Artist: Vinzenz Katzler

Vinzenz Katzler was an Austrian painter and graphic artist. Katzler studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts from 1840 to 1844 . After 1848 he produced portraits and illustrations for, among others, Figaro, Kikeriki, Hans Jörgel and the Leipziger Illustrierte. He is particularly known for numerous woodcuts and lithographs, such as contemporary historical depictions and motifs from popular life in the Austrian monarchy. Katzlergasse in...
