About The Artist: Wellington Virgolino de Sousa

Wellington Virgolino was born in Recife, Pernambuco in Brazil in 1929. Trained at Pernambucano and in 1950, was a part of Modern Art Society of Recife, two years later founded the Studio Collective of it, alongside the artists Abelardo da Hora, Gilvan Samico and José Cláudio.
