William Benson Turner
William Benson Turner was born in Shropshire, England somewhere around 1890, and immigrated to Canada somewhere around 1910. Served in WW1, was wounded in the foot. Married Gertrude Astle in Metis Beach Quebec, had one son, Benson Turner, also an artist. He had a studio at his home in Metis, and it is being used today by the present owner, another artist....
