about Horses

In this detailed, hand-drawn and drafted work in ink on paper by Polish artist Wojtek Kowalczyk, a stampede of horses runs down the center of the composition.

Markedly though, the horses are significantly smaller than the giant caravans that flank them into infinity on either side, the horses only coming up to half the height of the wheels. The work is signed in pen by the artist.

About The Artist: Wojtek Kowalczyk

Wojtek Kowalczyk was born in 1960 in Krakow Poland. From 1979 to 1986 he studied at the Krakow Polytechnic University and graduated with a diplma in Architecture. Between 1986 and 1989 he worked at the Istiue of Preservation of Historical Monuments run by the Polytechnic University. Since 1989 Wojtek has worked as an independent artist.
