about Scorpion

A detailed and hand-drawn work on paper by Polish artist Wojtek Kowalczyk of scorpions in sand dunes.

The scorpions, however, are made of twining ropes that seem to be pulled by their hooked tails from the tops of the dunes themselves. This fantastic original is signed by the artist in pen.

About The Artist: Wojtek Kowalczyk

Wojtek Kowalczyk was born in 1960 in Krakow Poland. From 1979 to 1986 he studied at the Krakow Polytechnic University and graduated with a diplma in Architecture. Between 1986 and 1989 he worked at the Istiue of Preservation of Historical Monuments run by the Polytechnic University. Since 1989 Wojtek has worked as an independent artist.
