About the artist:

Born in Lithuania, settling early in Palestine. There he earned a degree in Engineering and he served as an officer in the Israeli Army. It was sometime before Yona Lotan was able to satisfy an urge that he had long felt. To express in painting and drawing the unease he felt, as he confronted life and the universe.
