About the artist:

Benjamin is a painter, draftsman and engraver.

Since his youngest age, he has devoted most of his free time to drawing, painting and writing poems and already has more than a hundred to his credit.

He is also the only one to have translated poems by a poet and writer friend: Cornelis Leonardus van der Pluijm (1954-2014) into French during his lifetime.

He put away his pen in 2015 in favor of a brush and pastel. He creates spontaneously. At the completion of each of his works, he feels its interiority and must pause for a moment.

In July 2016, he created Tournillisme, an artistic movement. Tournillisme is the absence of academicism, the absence of influence from any artistic movement whatsoever, it is a movement whose members are necessarily self-taught and whose works are full of spontaneity. Once the work is completed, it is tilted from left to right and from bottom to top until its creator finds in his work another meaning that he wishes to share with his audience. Thus, the work of its creator can be presented vertically even if it was painted horizontally. A work, painted, sculpted or photographed can, once tilted at a particular angle, mean something completely different, bringing to the public as well as to its creator another universe within reach, another dimension that gives a completely different meaning to his work. The spirit, the soul of the creator is expressed in many ways and this revolutionary technique allows members of Tournillisme to break away from any form of conformism and gives incredible freedom in the way they create.

He has been an active member of the Belgian National Council of Plastic Arts since early 2016 and is listed both in the AKOUN database (and its rating books) and in ARTPRICE.

He is a member of the Belgian Philosophy Society and is also a sponsor of the Friends of the Belgian Museum of Freemasonry.

In January 2018, he collaborated with the erotic/pornographic visual artist/sculptor LELOUX.
