About the artist:

Robert Beauchamp (he pronounced his name like the gum, "Beecham"), was born in 1923 in Denver, Colorado. He studied art with Boardman Robinson at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center. He served three years in the Navy during World War II and then enrolled in the Cranbrook Academy. Soon after, he studied with Hans Hofmann, a highly influential teacher of modern art. His work with Hans Hofmann lasted three years in both Provincetown, Massachusetts and in Manhattan. Beauchamp's first exhibit was at the Tanager Gallery in New York, followed by shows at the Walker Art Center, Moniqure Knowlton, Graham Gallery, Long Point Gallery, M-13, The Sun Gallery, East End Gallery, Long Point Gallery, and in many other exhibits. ROBERT BEAUCHAMP's work is in numerous museum collections as well as the collections of Estee Lauder and Dow Jones.
